After you've had your rear projection set for a while, you may notice that the picture is not as good as it used be or that your picture is going out altogether. The solution to this problem is usually a simple one – replacing the Samsung DLP Lamps.

What is a DLP Lamp?

DLP stands for Digital Light Processing. DLP lamps are digitally controlled lights that help give your rear projection television set a high quality picture. These lamps are controlled by a digital signal that causes the lamps to light up in the right sequence with the right colors in the right spots on your screen. In other words, without properly functioning DLP lamps in your set, you aren't going to be enjoying any shows or movies any time soon. After a few thousand hours of viewing time, you will have to replace the DLP lamps.

How Much do Replacement Samsung DLP Lamps Cost?

No one likes to have to put additional money into their electronic devices to keep them running, but with rear projection DLP television sets, you will have to make allowances for doing a little bit of maintenance. You will have to replace your DLP lamps when they start to go bad, so be prepared for this when you purchase your set. On average, you can expect to pay about $200 for replacement Samsung DLP lamps.

Put the screws back in place to secure the new lamp.
